A Curtis C-46 makes its way over the Himalayas during WWII. This was one of the main supply lines during the early part of the US involvement in Asia.

That must have been quite a flight without pressurization. And apparently, they had trouble keeping the cockpit heated. Brrrrr!

Really the only supply line to the RoC after the Japanese captured Burma. Since almost all Chinese industry was in the coastal areas controlled by Japan, the Chinese desperately needed anything that we could get over the Himalayas.
